On July 19, 2010, the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s President enacted the AMCON Act, creating the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON). AMCON was founded as a critical instrument for stabilizing and reviving the Nigerian economy to handle the non-performing loan assets of the banks.
To use eligible bank assets (EBAs) profitably for economic reasons, one must purchase them from qualified financial institutions (EFIs) at fair market value.

Requirements for AMCON Recruitment 2023
Candidates for the AMCON recruiting must fulfil any of the requirements below:
| Qualifications | Possessing a B.Sc., HND, NCE, or OND in the pertinent field from an institution with accreditation. |
| Other Qualifications | Any additional credentials, including postgraduate degrees and professional certifications, are beneficial. |
| Certification | Certificate of Exemption/Discharge from NYSC. |
| Degree | A West African School Certificate (WAEC) that includes English and has at least two (2) passes and three (3) credits overall. |
| Grade | Candidates must have earned a passing grade of four or five on the National Examination Council (NECO), including English, in a single sitting or five on the NECO in two sittings. |
Other Minor Qualifications Includes:
• A National Diploma (ND) from a school with academic accreditation.
• A National Certificate of Education accepted by institutions (NCE).
• All candidates must present a legitimate form of identification, such as a driver’s license, national identification card, passport, voter card, etc.
• Knowledge of basic computer programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
• Movement on a regional level both within and outside of Nigeria.
