Recruitment Requirements for Federal Teachers in 2023

According to the guidelines, a candidate must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for selection:

possess a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) obtained no earlier than 2014 from a government-approved institution; specialize in any of the following subjects: English Studies, Mathematics, Science, Vocational Studies, Computer Science, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Nigerian and Foreign Languages; not be employed by any organization during the period of service; and be under the age of 35. Successful applicants must be willing to work in any of the rural schools listed.

The Scheme is implemented using the UBEC framework that already exists (Headquarters, Zonal and State Offices). via a designated Desk Officer appointed by each Board, the Commission works closely with the SUBEBs. The Desk Officer is in charge of the Scheme’s day-to-day implementation at the state level.
