About the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board
Set up in 1978 by the establishment act of 1978 and eventually amended in 11989 and 1993. Based on the act’s establishment, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board is empowered with the underlisted responsibility;
Total control in the conduct of matriculation examinations in all Universities, Monotechnics, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education.
The appointment of examiners, moderators, invigilators, members of the subject panels and committees, and other persons in charge of the JAMB UTME examination.
The placement of candidates qualified and suitable into the Nigerian Institutions of Higher Learning.
In order to fully enact this function, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board organizes the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
JAMB Admission Requirements 2023
